Tayplay have worked with Playsound for years collaborating on rope and timber play structures. One of our more recent projects was building ropes for the HMS Toby at the Toby Tavern Bar & Grill, Ashurst, Skelmersdale. Please see Playsounds summary of the project below:
"Playsound were asked to design, install and manufacture a full size pirate ship as part of the renovations of a near-by bar and restaurant. Once a final design was agreed upon, Playsound worked alongside Tayplay to ensure that the rope features designed for the pirate ship were of the highest standard to cope with the high quantity of users. This included a horizontal as well as an angled clatter bridge to go alongside a scramble net and ramp ropes." - Rob Thomas, Playsound Structures
Communication is key, prior to the build: ideas are exchanged, key features are discussed, and drawings are developed to ensure the rope nets meet the safety standards EN1176. Tayplay do this through DWG drawings and Solidworks. (Exports available for most Modelling Software). Due to the nets being entirely bespoke, these have been tailored to visually fit the play strutrue and the surrounding environment.
